Rocks are not things that chill around and be lazy. They’re useful. They're useful for making a fire, for building and some are used for weapons. In the old days,the maori people used rocks for many things such as knives,weapons,axes and they used rocks to cook (and they still do in hangis).Around the world heaps of rocks are found,everyday,in every size and in different forms.There are three main types of rocks called sedimentary rocks,metamorphic rocks and igneous rocks.

#1 Sedimentary. Sedimentary rock is formed when little bits of rock (sediment) goes down into streams from air,ice,wind and gravity or water flows carrying the sediment in a mixture of water and debris.This sediment is often formed when weather or water waves break down a rock into loose material in a part of the area.

#2 metamorphic. They do not melt, but the minerals they contain are changed chemically, forming metamorphic rocks. Sometimes, metamorphic rocks are formed when rocks are close to some melted rock,so it gets heated up. Remember that metamorphic rocks are not made from volcanic rocks. (Rocks that do melt form igneous rocks instead.)

#3 igneous. Igneous rock is formed through the cooling of magma or lava to a solid. Igneous rock may form with or without crystallization, either below the surface as intrusive (plutonic)rocks or on the surface as extrusive (volcanic)rocks.(Igneous is another word for fire.Igneous is latin for a fire rock.

In summary, rocks are found everywhere,in many shapes,sizes and colours and rocks have many uses.The three main types of rocks are sedimentary,metamorphic and igneous.And remember the cool thing about rocks is that it looks like they’re lazing around but they are actually on the move due to the cycle of weathering.

Why You Shouldn’t Smoke

Smoking is bad for you! Smoking causes 1,300 deaths a day and has other bad effects. Let’s get started!

It’s bad for your health. It causes cancer and stroke. Every cigarette you smoke shortens your life expectancy by 11 minutes. That might not be long but if you smoke 1 a day, for a year, then your life will be shortened by 4,015 minutes! The average smoker lives around 14 years shorter or so. About 4,000 kids between 12-17 start their first day of smoking but 1,000 of them keep on doing it. About ½ of people who smoke actually die from smoke related diseases. “Smoking can also contribute to heart and blood vessel problems, including heart disease, heart attack, and stroke.” By MediResource Clinical Team. Also even if you secretly smoke and you have children, they will be affected by the smoke.

It costs a lot of money. Every cigarette packet costs 6 dollars on average or more.That might not be a lot but cigarettes are highly addictive. So if you buy a packet a day, for a year, that’ll be 2,190$ in a year, maybe you could donate that! So 2,190x 70 is 153, 300$. People are super crazy if they smoke and probably are going to die very SOON, yes with all capitals but why do they start smoking? Maybe because they A. Think they are cool (which they aren’t of course) or B. Peer pressure.

Worst Injurys part 2

Number 5: Petr Cech, Chelsea vs Reading (2006)

The first of our countdown of the worst football injuries not to involve any king of leg break, is Petr Cech’s shocking head injury from 2006. The big shot stopper was trying to snuff out an attack from Reading when striker Stephen Hunt caught him on the side of the head with his knee. Cech was rushed to hospital due to a suspected blood clot, and required serious surgery for a depressed skull fracture. Having been in danger of losing his life the keeper was told that he would miss at least a year of action but in fact made a miraculous recovery to be back on the pitch inside three months.

Number 4: Marcin Wasilewski, Anderlecht vs Standard Liege (2009)

The victim of the fourth of our worst football injuries countdown may not be the most famous, but his injury was so horrific that he could not fail to make the list. Anderlecht defender Wasilewski suffered a nasty stamp from Liege’s Alex Witsel which left him with open fractures of his tibia and fibula. Wasilewski’s recovery lasted close to ten months and Witsel received an eight game ban from the Belgian FA.

Number 3: Patrick Battiston, France vs West Germany (1982)

The foul which led to the number three on our chart of the worst football injuries is probably one of the most notorious and unbelievable in the game’s history. France’s Battiston was clean through on goal with just the keeper to beat when he became the victim of an astonishing aerial bodycheck from Harald Schumacher. So violent was the foul that it left Battiston in a coma and caused numerous injuries including damaged vertebrae, a broken jaw and the loss of four of his front teeth. The Frenchman eventually returned to action with his club five months later.

Number 2: Alf Inge Haaland, Manchester City vs Manchester United (2001)

Number two on the chart of the worst football injuries is the only one which was unequivocally inflicted deliberately according to the perpetrator. In his autobiography some years later, Roy Keane admitted going into this game with the intention of hurting Haaland and succeeded in drastic fashion. The Irishman’s vicious lunge left Haaland writhing in pain with a dreadful knee injury that ultimately ended his career two years later.

Number 1: David Busst, Coventry vs Manchester United (1996)

Television coverage at the time refused to show the number one on the list of the worst football injuries in history, and it’s little wonder when you realise that the sight of it caused United keeper Peter Schmeichel to vomit on the spot. Coventry’s Busst had gone into a 50/50 challenge with both Dennis Irwin and Brian Mcclair, and ended up with extensive compound fractures and a fibula that pierced the skin of his leg. Initially there was a real fear that he may lose his leg, but whilst he avoided this Busst did lose the rest of his career.

Number 10: Alan Smith, Manchester United vs Liverpool (2006)

Having had a glittering early career with Leeds, Alan Smith mad the move to Old Trafford and it was when playing for the Red Devils in an FA Cup tie in 2006 that he suffered what ranks as the number ten in our list of the worst football injuries in history. The striker-cum-midfielder jumped to block a John Arne Riise free kick, landed awkwardly and broke his leg whilst also dislocating his left ankle. Smith was missing from action for seven months after what Sir Alex Ferguson described as one of the worst injuries he had ever seen.

Number 9: Luc Nilis, Aston Villa vs Ipswich (2000)

At number nine on our countdown of the worst football injuries comes unfortunate Belgian striker Luc Nilis. The big forward signed for Aston Villa in 2000 following a hugely successful spell in Dutch football but only managed three full games before a collision with Ipswich keeper Richard Wright saw him suffer a double fracture of his right leg. At the age of 33, Nilis was unable to recover sufficiently to get himself back on the pitch and announced his retirement four months later.

Number 8: Djibril Cisse, Liverpool vs Blackburn (2004) AND France vs China (2006)

Every footballer has something that they are most famous for and for Cisse it’s a toss-up between ridiculous hair and horrific leg injuries. He earns his place at number eight on the list of the worst football injuries thanks to two separate incidents, two years apart. First, Cisse fracture both his tibia and fibula in his left leg when playing for Liverpool in 2004 before then shattering his other leg in an international friendly two years later. Almost miraculously, he made a full recovery each time, after just seven months on the side-lines.

Number 7: Aaron Ramsey, Arsenal vs Stoke (2010)

At number seven on the chart of the worst football injuries comes yet another double leg fracture. On this occasion the unlucky recipient was Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey who was on the wrong end of a nasty tackle from Ryan Shawcross in a league game in 2010. Arsene Wenger went off the deep end in his criticism of Shawcross after the game and Ramsey spent nine months on the treatment table.

Number 6: Eduardo, Arsenal vs Birmingham (2008)

Two years before Ramsey suffered his injury, Gunners’ striker Eduardo da Silva was the victim of a nasty challenge from Birmingham City’s Martin Taylor and broke his left fibula whilst also dislocating his ankle. The combination of the two injuries made the Mexican’s recovery far more difficult and Eduardo was in fact away from competitive action for 11 months and three weeks.

The Martian Movie review

Over all a great movie it was really intense.But it has a lot of swearing so it is not really a kids movie. Some of the scenes would be quite hard to understand so you should be over 14 to watch it.

BUT I AM NAUGHTY AND I WATCHED IT EVEN THOUGH I AM 10.\

I rate it 4 stars.

Jurassic World Movie Review

This was my one of my favorite movies ever.

It is really intense and epic. In this movie they learn that dinosaurs are actually smarter than they thought. This movie took about 8-10 years to make because they had to model the dinosaurs. Kids who are very young should not watch this it is scary and has severing in it. Such as the b word and the s word. It is better to watch this with someone over 14. I rate this movie 5 stars.

It was a beautiful red sky evening when the FIFA president and other FIFA people were choosing the groups for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil 2014. There was a month until the FIFA World Cup so the players worked really hard in their training. It was a once in a lifetime thing going on in some unfamous countries but those countries were really excited for the world cup.So the people in those countries had to make a video of their skills and show the FIFA people.“I think it`s a excellent idea for them to go to Brazil in the world cup” said the FIFA president “it will also be a dreary for them to see their favourite team lose.

It was Sunday afternoon and we were going into a Lambo. We never knew were we were going to space. I was given a tablet. I had special things that I didn’t know what those things were. We then landed and I was wearing an astronaut suite. We landed on the Sun. We then went inside and we had a huge machine full of fire extinguishing. There was no fire when we opened it we landed on the wrong planet. We went on the planet called Sofistacatedsunnygolfyummy land. Then we went somewhere else. We landed on this huge black and white planet! It looked like this>>>>>>>

And then we all saw people. Just people playing football. We recognised them. They weren’t all ordinary people. They were footballers!!! They were then going somewhere else. It was… A Football Party!!! Every single footballer was there including Pele, Neymar, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

12th August at 2:00 we went down to the hall, to listen to a high school band.When we got there we sat down on the floor.When they played their first song it sounded WONDERFUL,I could hear guitars,drums and trumpets and lots more.There were a lot of wind instruments like french horns and flutes.I know two songs up town funk and happy.It was really loud but it was still beautiful.The two songs I knew were,Happy and Up Town Funk.After every song people claped.some songs where old and and some where moden.some songs where slow and some where fast.The drums shook the floor,At the end we all got to stand up and dance along.Me and Pavan where doing the elephant and the nae nae.Over all it was a great consert.THE END

The Naughty Obama

1.00 in the morning, 1935, 20th September, at the home of English football, Wembley Stadium. the man himself, President of the USA, Barack Obama rode on a sky blue Harley Davidson from the home of where Abraham Lincoln got assassinated, across the river and to the home of Buckingham Palace. And then Mickey Mouse arrives in his Lamborghini from Lollipop Land to Wembley but, someone is still missing.The Man called Tom Cruise and he is… stuck in traffic. But he finally arrives and there are no ice creams and no cones. ( Fact of the day, Tom Cruise was born in 1962.)

turns out that the man himself or shall i say the mouse himself stole the ice cold ice creams. because it was caught on the naughtiest thing in the whole wide planet, cctv cameras. And so mickey mouse got arrested and he went back to lollipop land in a blue and red toyota police car with xboxes playstatioins devices with every single game you can imagine. but...

someone did something. obama was hiding in the tiny boot of the car. so when johnny depp and mr bean (policemen) went to their department, obama snuck out of the boot and went in the department and snuck through the window and shot mickey mouse, but he did the wrong thing. obama cried “ nnnooo!!!” and he just stayed in jail forever and P.S he died. (Don’t show this to Barack.)

Once upon a time there was a knight. Yep thats right a knight. I`ll tell you something. That knight was an alien knight. You didn’t hear that wrong. But it was adventurous and he had a weird job. All he does is save rain forests. But one day he did the wrong thing. He went somewhere, DID SOMETHING and LOST SOMETHING!!!.

He went to the HELL OF ALIENS!!! It was the………TOILET!!! (dun dun dun). What happened was he went to a rainforest and over there he saw a room and in that room was a TOILET!!! (BOO). And then over there he did something and that something was trying to be SWAG but no one can be swag except for (drumroll please) THAT SUN OVER THERE. Yep. Thats right. The sun has to wear sunglasses because it has a bright future.The alien then looked at the sun and died. RIP ALIEN KNIGHT. We should forget.

My Narrative

1975 19 August 7:00pm on a pitch dark friday night.when pele and schmeichel set off in there aston martin DB5 but when Schmickle and Pele got on the main road there was a massive traffic jam.if Schmickle and Pele were to make the football game in time Schmickle and Pele would have to take a shortcut but they didn’t know any shortcuts that could get them to the FIFA world cup final.

but then Schmickle and Pele wondered for a second and Schmickle and Pele shouted”kent street won’t get us there but jones street will”so Schmickle and Pele got to the game in time but the bumpy roads had shattered a pipe on the bottom of the car were Schmickle and Pele going to get home after the game…

they made it to the game yay.there was a massive crowed it was epic.then brazil bolted out on to the pitch and the crowed did the mexican wave then germine jogged out on to the pitch and the crowed was extremely enthusiastic…then both the team’s sung their national anthem.

then it was kick off.then out of nowhere brazil’s neymar jr shoot and scored goal of the season by neymar and brazil did there favorite celebration and they shouted “gooooooooooal”what a goal by neymar and as a bonus it was in the first 7 minutes.then in the 45th minute germane scored.I guess it was a good goal by beckenbauer.It was a goalless second harf.

the start of the penalty shootout was quite boring there were 3 goals by each team but then it started to get interesting the goalie's got 1 save each
the final two penalties were intes schoeomikle saved it and neymar scroed the celebrations lasted thru the night.

It's also a great way to socialise, have fun and improve your wellbeing.Sport helps you look good and feel great, Sport also helps you be healthy and improves your fitness. Many athletes do better academically. Playing sports helps you with stress and pressure. Playing sport means keeping a healthy diet and a lot of training.

To be a good athlete, you must take care of yourself. If you want to play sport sweets and junk food are not an option and your diet will have to be a lot stricter. You will have to eat a lot of brain food including fruit,vegetables and meat for protein. You will need to keep track of what you eat so you stay fit.

Being a sports player takes a lot of practice and a lot of fitness but the training and fitness is all good for you. Sport improves many valuable skills such as passing,throwing,catching and strategy. It also teaches you teamwork.

Playing club sports helps you meet a lot new people. Participating in sports improves your health in many ways plus its extremely enjoyable. School sports are good times -===to start and if you enroll for a school or club sport. one of the main problems is you need to enroll before the season not in the middle of the season. so keep an eye out for the start of sports seasons.

Sport is good for me, if it reveals how powerful our bodies are. But sport is of no use if it contradicts my human nature. It should be naturally but not artificially driven. I am for sport that does not cheat nature and is a real competition of strength and physical might.So in the future I hope to be seeing more of you playing sports and join a local club or a school team today.

A Soccer Game In The future

Once in the future me William the author of this story, Toby and Jack were in the middle of a Manchester Arsenal were having a training at SWAS the biggest,massivest floating stadium in the world which was also there home ground. They were training for the biggest soccer game of their life. So they walked into the massive changing rooms to get into there Much Kits(Which are soccer jerseys that don’t make you sweat).

Then they walked out onto the 100 meter soccer pitch.But then CHOOP(The robot soccer ball)Walked out onto the pitch but before he could get to the middle of the pitch he broke down...William,Toby And Jack shrieked “What are we going to do”?Then the very old referee(Mr Robinson)Said”We could use an old school soccer ball”
“What’s that”Said Jack.“It’s a soccer ball with no electronics”Said Mr Robinson.So we started the soccer game with Mr R’s old school soccer ball.Then Manchester Arsenal got a penilty,Toby was behind the ball but he hit the cross-bar but then out of no-where Jack did a bysicil and whoosh it floo into the back of the net.So it was there mid start,they passed the ball but toby interseped the pass epicly skilled their whole team and scored. What a goal,”WOW that is AMAZING” said the commentators two goals in 15 seconds.Before the other team could kick off the reef blow his whistle half time he screamed or stretched.. It was an action filled second half but no goals were scored Manchester Arsenal had won their league(The reason I didn’t tell you it was the loopy league is because I wanted it to be a surprise.)Manchester Arsenal where stoked they could not believe it.Manchester Arsenal walked off the pitch stoked and amazed...The parties would last through the night,this year would be remembered for ever.Jack,William and toby together went on to win seven league titles and and three UAFA champions leagues for the same team.So that is my story of a soccer game in the future.

My Light Writing

Did you know if you put sunscreen on UV beads they don't change colour because sunscreen protects against UV light e.g. If you don't put sunscreen on you get sunburnt. UV beads are like our skin as they change colour they are getting sunburnt but 30 seconds is like one hour in the sun. You know about sunscreen,well if you wrap tape around the UV beads it changes colour slower because it still gives a little bit of protection but not much.

Did you know that light can travel up to 299,972kph.Did you know that light usually travels in straight lines but light can still bend around corners.e.g.look at your shadow.light still travels around your head.it takes 8 minutes for light to get from the sun to earth which isn't long.

The sun is one of more than 100 billion stars in the Milky Way. It orbits some 25,000 light-years from the galactic core, completing a revolution once every 250 million years or so. The sun is relatively young, part of a generation of stars known as Population I, which are relatively rich in elements heavier than helium.
